MICHAEL L. KRUEGER

Michael L. Krueger 56 passed away on Saturday at Mercy Hospital in Des
Moines
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday April 10, at St. Paul's
Presbyterian Church in Johnston. Private burial will be held at a later date
in Colorado.
Michael was born in Des Moines May 27, 1951, the son of Kenneth, and Ellen
Krueger and lived most of his life in the Des Moines area. Michael was Vice
President, and General Manager of K and E Distributing. He enjoyed golfing,
skiing, and all things related to food. Michael was an avid fan of the New
York Yankee’s, and the Chicago Bears.
His survivors include sons Jordan and Jeremy; his father, Kenneth; two
brothers, Randy and Greg; two sisters, Linda Krueger, and Bev Merrit; two
grandchildren, Braeden, and Kamden.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday at Iles Funeral Homes/
Westover Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.

Nineteen ATO alumni and three DU
alumni gathered Friday evening and Saturday, August 17 and 18,
at Lake Panorama (IA) for the "Old Farts" Golf Weekend.

John Lawlor '73
is a 2007 Simpson Alumni Achievement Award Recipient
John is president/principal of the Lawlor
Group, Inc., a full-service brand management and integrated marketing
communications firm that works almost exclusively with private colleges and
universities. He is editor of "The Lawlor Review" which focuses on private
higher education issues. His firm also publishes "Lawlor Perspectives" a
series of white papers designed for senior management and trustees who are
involved with private higher education and a monthly e-newsletter call "Lawlor
Focus". His client list is a "Who's Who" of private colleges and
universities. He serves on Benilde-St. Margaret's School Board, Lake County
Montessori School Board, Blaisdell YMCA Capital Campaign Committee and St.
Thomas the Apostle Church Capital Campaign. He is a former member of the Simpson
College Alumni Association Board of Directors. He served on the Secure the
Promise campaign committee for Simpson and is a lifetime member of the
Presidents' Society.
The Dick & Nancy Buxton Tennis
Complex was dedicated on Saturday, June 23, as part of the Alumni Weekend
events. Dick was a '55 initiate.
